Forgotten Friday: Tryst by Elswyth Thane

Hey guys, this is a new meme I'm going to start doing called Forgotten Friday. Basically, this meme is about books that have been overlooked, pushed aside, neglected. It could be old books, new books, anything, but they are books that I need their time in the spotlight.

What better way to start this meme than with my favorite book Tryst by Elswyth Thane. Tryst is at the top of my list of books to read during the holiday season. It was published in 1939 and its story transcends time with its tale of the improbable romance of Hilary and Sabrina. He's a ghost that after his death, travels back to his childhood estate and discovers that Sabrina and her family have rented it for the summer. Their only way of communicating is through Hilary's belongings that he's left behind in his room It's there Sabrina spends her days learning about his life through his books and artifacts. It's isn't long before Sabrina's aunt becomes fearful of Sabrina's obsession with this charming ghost and does everything to tear the couple apart.

It's well written, funny, romantic, and a must read for everyone.
