Book Boyfriends: Maxon Schreave (The Selection trilogy by Kiera Cass)

So I've seen this meme floating around many book blogs, but initially I got the idea from Reading Lark and they got this meme from The Unread Reader. I've enjoyed the meme so much that I will also be joining in on the fun but now on Mondays. Welcome to Book Boyfriends everyone!

In light of The Heir coming out last week I thought that this was appropriate. I haven't gotten the chance to read it yet but I'm sure a new book boyfriend will emerge from it haha. Before that happens though, I have to tell you guys about my original Book Boyfriend from The Selection series.

Appearance:
  • Honey-blonde hair
  • Brown eyes
  • Muscular
Why He's my Book Boyfriend:
I have always been Team Maxon. I think he's cute and sweet. I find his shyness endearing haha. As the books went on and America was being difficult, I was like, "Hell, America if you don't want him, step aside and I'll take him!"

Actor to be my Maxon:
I've used this actor before this post but when I first read The Selection I pictured Ed Speelers as Maxon. He has the right look and he could definitely play this role.

Quotes from and about Maxon:

1) “Break my heart. Break it a thousand times if you like. It was only ever yours to break anyway.”

2) “I want everything with you, America. I want the holidays and the birthdays, the busy season and lazy weekends. I want peanut butter fingertips on my desk. I want inside jokes and fights and everything. I want a life with you.”

3) “If you don’t want me to be in love with you, you’re going to have to stop looking so lovely. First thing tomorrow I’m having your maids sew some potato sacks together for you.”

4) “'I've seen the world--admittedly mostly through bulletproof glass or from the tower of some ancient castle--but I've seen it. And I have access to the answers of a thousand questions at my disposal. But this small hand here?' He looked deeply into my eyes. 'This hand makes sounds incomparable to anything I've ever heard. Sometimes I think I only dreamed that I heard you play the violin, it was so beautiful. These calluses are proof that it was real.'”

These are just a few of quotes from Maxon. You guys can check out my reviews of the first three Selection books by clicking the links below.
