9/11: 14 Years Later

*Credit to Robert Joseph Baker for the above image* (link to image)

It's a sad day for a lot of us New Yorkers as well as for many people around the world who lost loved ones on this sorrowful day. Although so much time has passed, this day is fresh in our memories. I hope that all of you find comfort in your friends and family today and find the happiness that all of you greatly deserve.

We will never forget.

  1. Hey Brittany,

It's scary to think it's fourteen *years* when it truly feels like yesterday.

Like you said, we will never forget the thousands of lives lost on that day, especially the first responders who ran *back* into the buildings....

  2. My uncle was a firefighter on 9/11. He died a few years ago of cancer, but he was a patriot and a proud American and especially a proud New Yorker. What happened 14 years ago was horrible, but it was astonishing to see how New Yorkers came together in a time of great need. God Bless America. We will never forget. Thank you for posting this.

    1. I'm so sorry for your loss, your uncle sounds like a great man. Even the most of the world has moved on from this horrific event, us New Yorkers will always remember.

  3. It doesn't even feel like it's been 14 years since this has happened. The city and all of American has come such a long way! I agree with Isha, they're gone, but will never be forgotten, and I just love you for taking the time to actually make a post remembering this day :)

    1. No, it doesn't feel like that much time has passed. I was lucky to not have lost anyone on 9/11 but I know so many people that did and as a native New Yorker I felt that it was necessary to acknowledge everyone we lost and how many of us are still mourning.
