My TBR list is always growing and I thought it would be fun to share my anticipation for those books with all of you. This is not my own original meme; it belongs to Breaking the Spine. It specifically spotlights upcoming releases. As it implies in the title, I'll be posting this meme on Wednesdays. Please feel free to comment and let me know what books you guys are waiting on as well!
Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves
Publisher: Knopf BFYR/Random House Children's Books
Expected Pub. Date: March 28th, 2017
Buy it: Amazon | B&N | Book Depository
In an alternate Victorian England where social prestige stems from a trifecta of blood, money, and magic, sixteen-year old Anna Arden is barred from the society she yearns for by a defect of blood. She believes herself Barren, unable to perform the most rudimentary spells. Anna would do anything to belong, but after inadvertently breaking her sister’s debutante spells, Anna finds herself exiled with her aging grandmother to her grandmother’s native Hungary.
Her life might well be over.
But in Hungary, Anna finds that nothing about her world or her own lack of magic is quite as it seems. Fissures in the Binding that holds her world’s magic are expanding, and the ancient creatures bound by that spell beg Anna to release them. As rebellion sweeps across Hungary, Anna’s unique ability to break spells becomes the catalyst everyone is seeking. In the company of nobles, revolutionaries, and Roma, Anna must choose: deny her unique power and cling to the life she’s always wanted—or embrace her ability, destroy the Binding, spark a revolution, and change the face of magic itself.
This book will appeal to fans of Leigh Bardugo's Grisha trilogy and Naomi Novik's UPROOTED.
But then the synopsis goes on to talk about a female MC, cast away from her family, and with a new power she's struggling to accept? I mean, it's like this book was catered to me. I don't think I've read any book that's set in Hungary before, so I'm really curious about how that's going to play into the story. And who is Roma? I neeeeed to know immediately!
Are you guys as excited about this book as I am? Let me know ^__^
Rosalyn Eves grew up in the Rocky Mountains, dividing her time between reading books and bossing her siblings into performing her dramatic scripts. As an adult, the telling and reading of stories is still one of her favorite things to do. When she's not reading or writing, she enjoys spending time with her chemistry professor husband and three children, watching British period pieces, or hiking through the splendid landscape of southern Utah, where she lives. She dislikes housework on principle. Her first book, BLOOD ROSE REBELLION, comes out Spring 2017 from Knopf.

Grisha, Uprooted, say no more! Usually the comparisons that the publishers make don't work for me, but I am definitely on board with this book. I hope you enjoy it when you get the chance to read it, Brittany!
