Rebecca escaped the PIT, found a family among the Freemen...and watched too many loved ones die. All she wants is the Cardinal to leave her in peace, but he's made it clear that's never going to happen.

When the Cardinal attacks other Freemen villages, she finally understands that no one is safe from his wrath. As the only one who's stood up to the evil that is the Cardinal, it's up to her to convince the others that they can't hide forever. It's time to fight.

The Machine predicted Rebecca would become the Cardinal's enemy. It may have gotten that one right.

In the conclusion to the Acceptance series, enemies become allies and old friends emerge, but in the end, sacrifice may be the price of freedom.

Sarah Negovetich knows you don't know how to pronounce her name and she's okay with that.

Her first love is Young Adult novels, because at seventeen the world is your oyster. Only oysters are slimy and more than a little salty; it’s accurate if not exactly motivational. We should come up with a better cliché.

Sarah divides her time between writing YA books that her husband won’t read and working with amazing authors as an agent at Corvisiero Literary Agency. Her life’s goal is to be only a mildly embarrassing mom when her kids hit their teens.

Are you a plotter or a pantser?

Sarah: A plotter for sure. I actually use a big bulletin board and plot out all my scenes on notecards before I write a single word of the story. I don't always stick with the original plan, but I somehow find my way to the end.

Are any of your characters based on real people?

Sarah: Nope! No way. That would be a very bad idea. I will say that some of the things my characters do are inspired by real events. Rebecca and Daniel's first kiss was loosely based on my first kiss with my husband.

Do you personally identify with any of your characters? If so, who and why?

Sarah: While I love Rebecca, Elizabeth is the character I most identify with. She's very no frills and tends to call it like she sees it. I'm the same way, but not nearly to the extreme of our resident Queen of Snark.

What are your favorite type of scenes to write?

Sarah: I love writing the scenes where a character either has a breakthrough or finally has a revelation. That moment of Ah-ha! is a beautiful thing and I love digging deep into my character's gut and making them work for it.

What material possession could you not live without?

Sarah: My phone. It does everything I need and I stopped memorizing phone numbers in 2001.

What is the most dangerous thing you've ever done for fun?

Sarah: In college I used to repel off the cliffs on campus. It's not really dangerous unless you consider we were a bunch of college kids with some old rigging and not a lot of common sense.

What is your favorite line or moment from any of your books?

Sarah: My favorite scene from any of the books in the Acceptance trilogy is the rain scene from Rite of Rejection. Rebecca and Daniel are outside in the rain and everything in their world is falling apart. But they stop and take a minute to splash in puddles and kick at the mud. It's when Rebecca realizes that she's allowed to be herself.

What is one thing that you want your readers to take away from your books?

Sarah: Obviously I want my readers to enjoy the book and have fun with it. But if there is one message I want them to walk away with it's that no one can dictate who you should be. And you don't have to decide who you're going to be at 17 and then write it in stone. You're allowed to change and grow and still be figuring it out at 35.

Starting today, you guys can get Rite of Rejection, the first book in the Acceptance series, for free and the other two books for $.99 on Amazon!
