Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten Best Books I Read In 2015

I've seen this meme on a lot of blogs and decided to join in. This meme was created by The Broke and Bookish. Every Tuesday there is a new topic that involves a list of ten books.

This week's topic: Top Ten Best Books I Read In 2015

I am very fortunate to receive a lot of ARCs of books before they release, so for this post I'm just going to stick to the books that officially came out in 2015.

1) Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
5/5 Stars (Review)
You're shocked, you've fallen out of your chair from how surprised you are that my number one choice is Six of Crows. I knew it, I'm just so unpredictable like that.

2) The Wrath and The Dawn by Renée Ahdieh
5/5 Stars (Review)
This book surprised me so much! It grabbed me right from page one and I loved every second of it!

3) Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff
 5/5 Stars (Review)
You have never seen a book like this before. Beautifully done with a heart-wrenching story.. everyone needs to read this.

4) The Rose Society by Marie Lu
5/5 Stars (Review)
Prepare for tears when you go to read this one guys. It's so interesting to watch a main character gradually turn into the villain of their own story.

5) An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir
5/5 Stars (Review)
I read this entire book in one sitting, and when I finished, I just sat in the dark in the wee hours of the morning shaking and clutching this book. You are not mentally prepared for it's greatness.

6) Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard
5/5 Stars (Review)
One of the few books that I could picture in my head like a movie. This was such an anticipated read for me and it did not disappoint!

7) Hello Goodbye and Everything in Between by Jennifer E. Smith
5/5 Stars (Review)
I'm really picky with contemporaries, but this one was amazing. This is exactly what I want when I'm reading a book in this genre.

8) Burn by Paula Weston
  5/5 Stars (Review)
I didn't want this series to end but unfortunately it had to, and I couldn't have asked for a better finale to the series. Perfection, I tell you.

9) Woven by Michael Jenson and David Powers King
  4.5/5 Stars (Review)
A really fun and sweet fairy-tale like story. If you haven't heard of this one yet, look it up now so you can thank me later ;)

10) Strange Skies by Kristi Helvig
4.5/5 Stars (Review)
I am dying for the third installment in this series. It's sexy and filled with sci-fi goodness.

Have you guys read any of these? What did you think of them? ^_^

    1. I loooove everything Leigh writes. If you haven't you should read the Grisha trilogy before Six of Crows. You can read Six of Crows first but you'll love it more if you read The Grisha Trilogy first.

  2. Yes to Illuminae and Red Queen - I'm so glad you liked Burn - not many people know about Paula and I love her books! We seem to have pretty similar reading taste - I haven't read a few of these!

  4. We have several in common this week - Illuminae, The Wrath and the Dawn, and the Rose Society. I really need to finish the first three Grisha books soon so I can read Six of Crows (don't yell at me).

  5. Haha, I so expected Six of Crows! It made my list as well - I really loved the book and the characters! And Wrath! Another gem of a book!
I had a bit of a love hate relationship with Red Queen - but I loved Maven to death! And I still have hope for him, don't ask me why!

  7. I've not read any of these books, though the first 7 are all on my TBR. I swear, with all the stuff I've heard about Red Queen, I get more and more eager for that book every single day. Fantastic list!

  8. I canʻt wait to finally read Six of Crows! I bought it as soon as it was released but I still havenʻt gotten around to it yet.

Illuminae made my list, too! I finished reading it about 2 weeks ago and Iʻve still got a book hangover. Itʻs driving me crazy that I have to wait so long to read the second book!

    1. Six of Crows is amazing, but that isn't surprising consider it's Leigh =)

I love Illuminae! I completely understand why you have a book hangover over it.

  9. I've only read the first three up there, but they were amazing. I see a few books already on my TBR. But you have a couple I've never heard of before listed too. Guess I have some bookish homework to do now.
