3rd Annual ARC August Week 1 Update

ARC August was created by Octavia at Read. Sleep. Repeat. The point of this tag is for us readers and bloggers to get through that stack of ARCs that has been building up.

Here is my first update for ARC August!

Read:

1) Mechanica by Betsy Cornwell—I was pretty disappointed with this one. The writing was good but I was unhappy with the lack of dialogue and the ending. Read my full review here

2) Hello, Goodbye, and Everything In Between by Jennifer E. Smith—I had a great buddy reading experience with Stefani from Caught Read Handed with this book. We both LOVED it. After reading this, I've added all of Smith's other books to my TBR. You can expect a review of it to be posted later on this week.

Next on Deck:

1) Riders by Veronica Rossi—I just started this today<3

2) Legacy of Kings by Eleanor Herman

3) Walk on Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson

4) The Scorpion Rules by Erin Bow

I love buddy reading, so if you have any of these ARCs and are interested in reading them together, feel free to contact me by leaving me a comment here or on my social media accounts. Have a great week, everyone! =)

  1. I requested Mechanica on Netgalley, but was not approved, and was sad. However, I am not sad anymore because I have not seen one review over three stars, yet. Walk on Earth a Stranger sounds good. I have seen a few people say they have it, but I haven't seen any reviews for it yet. Great start on ARC August! Keep going!

    1. I had high hopes for Mechanica when I was a couple of chapters in but in the end I was pretty disappointed.

I'm excited for Walk on Earth a Stranger, I have never read any of Carson's books before but I've heard a lot about her.

      Thanks!

  2. Looks like you did very well. Mechanica looked interesting, just not sure it was a book for me. Glad to see that you are doing well at ARC August.

    1. I probably could have done better but unfortunately I have other obligations that do not involve reading lol. I wouldn't recommend Mechanica.
